End of Year Giving
Don't forget to make your end of year contribution. When you give to United Way, you are not just giving to one organization - you are giving to help support 44 programs that serve the people in Brown, Day, Edmunds, Marshall, McPherson, and Spink counties. Instead of focusing on 1 single cause or issue, we focus on lots of them. Helping the region as a whole. This way one donation not only goes to the need everyone is aware of, but also to those that are less obvious, but are no less important.
Help is available whether it is need to provide food or shelter or provide dental care for children. These services vary wildly. But they are each extremely important to the person that needs them. This level of helping is possible because of thousands of people across our region. Generously make donations because they know money helps our whole community including people they know. Whether its neighbors, friends, co-workers, family or even themselves.
The beauty is that the money raised here stays here. Just like all kinds of people support United Way all kinds of people make the decisions for funding United Way Agencies. 30 local people volunteered their time to review non-profit organizations in the areas of finance, quality programming, governance, and administration. Because of the commitment of so many generous volunteers. United Way is able to be extremely efficient, keeping cost low, so that more people can be helped.
That is just part of what we do, United Way also issues grants to address new problems or increase funding for current needs. Connect volunteers. We also organize the NALC Food drive, NSU Day of Champions, Christmas Eve at the Hospital, and ReCycle. We invite you to be apart of it at helping people.
