2010-03-26 - Thank You to All Volunteers!

A huge thank you goes out to all those that have volunteered this past week filling sandbags and moving sandbags around homes.  Close to 200 volunteers came together to help homeowners protect their homes from rising waters.  Volunteers included students and employees from Northern State University, Trinity Bible College, Presentation College, Central High School, Roncalli High School and Groton High School.  Employees from companies such as Student Loan Finance Corp., Wright & Sudlow, Plains Commerce Bank, Home Federal Bank, Wells Fargo Auto Finance, Dakota Broadcasting, Target, Wyndham Hotel Group, Adjustment Training Center, Northern Valley Communications, James Valley Telecommunications, etc.  The need for volunteers was well publicized by Dakota Broadcasting, Hub City Radio, KELOland TV, KSFY, and Aberdeen American News.  The Salvation Army provided much needed water and food for volunteers.  For all those involved, we want to thank you for all of your support throughout this week!
