NALC Food Drive

The 18th Annual Aberdeen Letter Carriers FOOD DRIVE took place Saturday, May 14, 2011.

The community of Aberdeen generously donated over 7,800 pounds of food to local food banks.  The donated food was distributed to the Friends program of Northeastern Mental Health Center, Safe Harbor, and The Salvation Army.  Thanks to the many dedicated letter carriers and their families who worked so hard to help stamp out hunger.  We truly appreciate all of the food and refreshments that was donated from Subway, Dominos, The Salvation Army and United Way.

Last, but not least, thanks to Dakota Broadcasting, Radio Ranch stations, the American News, Aberdeen Chamber and Channel 7 for making the public aware of the event. Every May on the second Saturday, you can help stamp out hunger, just leave non-perishable food items in bags by your mailbox for your letter carier to pick up.  If you would like to volunteer, contact the United Way office.
